Another season begins and everyone is trying to predict who is going to win the Portuguese league. So let me give it a shot! If i say that the portuguese champion will be Porto, Benfica or Sporting, i won't be saying anything new. So, in order to make things more interesting, i'll try to predict the top 5 positions.
Nº 1: F.C. Porto - Once again manager Jesualdo Ferreira as to build a new team, in order to overcome the exit of Lisandro Lopez(Lyon), Lucho (Marseille) and Cissokho (Lyon), amongothers.To do so several players where brought in: Belluschi (Olympiakos), Valeri (Lanus), Varela (Estrela da Amadora), Falcao (River Plate), Beto (Leixões), Alvaro Pereira (Cluj), Perdiger (Colon), Maicon (Nacional), Miguel Lopes (Rio Ave), Orlando Sá (Braga) and Nuno André Coelho (Estrela da Amadora). A lot of new and young players. Surely a risk, but it also seems that this season J. Ferreira will have more options on the bench. Belluschi and Valeri are talented midfielders, that will have a golden opportunity to show their skills in the champions league and prove they're good enough to make Porto supporters forget Lucho. Falcao and Varela will have the task to score goals, helping Hulk and Cristian Rodriguez.
